Morocaan Wine. Morocaan SIP.WATCH.TWEET™. Moroccan Madness with RHONY

For the first Installment of the Ladies in Morocco We're Sipping Moroccan Wine
DOMAINE RIAD '06 JAMIL Carignan Red
SIP.WATCH.TWEET™.

Will we solve the mystery of the the hanger crook? Hanger Drama Preview
Will the Housewives survive Morocco? Preview of Moroccan Trilogy
Will LuAnn continue to be the "Thug in a Cocktail Dress"?

Because of The Bachelor/Bachelorette host Chris Hardwick's constant erroneous claim of "The MOST dramatic Rose Ceremony EVER!" I am jaded. So when I see/hear Bravo TV promos the Moroccan Trilogy is something "We. Can't. Miss." I'm skeptical. Although, the previews do indeed look very dramatic and intriguing. We have three hours and three weeks ahead of us, but now, BEFORE Morocco here's my current list of the NY Housewives from my MOST favorite to my LEAST favorite:

DOMAINE RIAD '06 JAMIL Carignan Red

Deep ruby garnet in color, the aroma of this 100% Carignan varietal has exotic spices like cardamom and tamarind. The mouth feel is silky, smooth, soft and round. Medium bodied the taste has subtle notes of mangosteen, dried cherry and jakfruit. The finish is slightly lingering with whispers of cinnamon.

SIP. WATCH. TWEET™ Real Housewives of of New York City "Making amends...OR NOT!"

SIP Zonin Prosecco.WATCH the Housewives on Bravo. TWEET your thoughts.
"Making amends...or not."

Jill brings gifts for Alex's "chums" [as her and Simon call their children, Johan and Francois] and begs for Alex's forgiveness. Before they even sit down for lunch to have a "sit-down" Jill promptly opens mouth and inserts foot attempting to compliment Alex. While lunching, Jill states she wants to bury the hatchet but Alex is more than sceptical. She questions Jill's motives and sincerity...realistic, pessimistic or paranoid? My money is on the former not the latter. Time will tell....

Francesco Zonin
Our pick for this week's RHONY SIPWATCHTWEET™ is ZONIN PROSECCO

Zonin Prosecco is effervescent with hues of wheat and lemon chiffon. Slightly sparkling with a wonderful floral bouquet of carnations and iris on the nose. The taste is light and refreshing with crisp notes of mandarin and Sicilian lemon. A body that is a little deeper than light bodied and a has a pleasant finish of roasted almond.

Zonin Prosecco is a lot less expensive than champagne but no less celebratory or enjoyable. To order Zonin click this link: Zonin Prosecco.

"WHERE's MY PINOT?!" "I want wine and I only drink MY Pinot." -Ramona Singer
"I have a bottle in my purse. I dare not leave home with out it."-Alex McCord

Side Note: I am loving this "new" Alex, she's bold, brazen and that comment about Ramona's Pinot Grigio was wry and snarky. Loved it!

Poor Cindy, she is trying to entertain 30+ guests and be an amazing host to everyone at her party and Ramona really, REALLY wants her Pinot. NOW! Well before the party, LuAnn and Sonja fired at Cindy, "Where's my invitation?" "I didn't get an invitation." "Our assistants would have passed on an invitation." "Is this an adult party? A kid's party?" "Horseback riding!?" "Birthday, no birthday?" ...I cannot wait to SIP Passaggio Rose. WATCH this episode. And TWEET the best quotes.

Passaggio Grande Cappello Rose

This picture doesn't do this Rose justice. The color is absolutely amazing, a vibrant, translucent mix of Venetian red, Indian red and raspberry. With its loganberry, cherry and tea rose blend on the nose, it prepares you for the fantastical voyage your mouth is about to on. It is medium bodied, full in your mouth and has crisp, rich flavors of blackberry, black currant, fig and red plum. The finish is long with hints of star anise and clementine acidity on the back end.

This is a limited release so I urge you to trust me and purchase this Rose NOW. To purchase click on this link: PASSAGGIO WINES

SIP. WATCH. TWEET™ RHONY this week with Ramona Singer's Pinot Grigio

It's Turtle Time!
Wine Tasting With The Wives...

Click Here to preview RHONY "Wine Connection"

This week's episode is full of classic lines. The ladies attend a wine tasting/speed dating and Kelly is obviously not a wine connoisseur. Here's part of a conversation Kelly had with a gentleman at the event: Kelly: "Why do they move it around like that?" [meaning the swirling of the wine] Gentleman: "To release the smell." Kelly: I have to SMELL my wine?" *sniffs glass of wine* Kelly: "It smells like wine."...um ok.

Meanwhile new "Housewife" Cindy Barshop has my favorite line of this preview, "I've been out of the dating scene 8 months and this is what's left?!" Love IT...Because it's sadly true!

We are sipping: Ramona Singer '10 Pinot Grigio delle Venezie

I was very skeptical of a wine from a "reality star", even one who is a successful businesswoman as Ramona is. After oenophile, Vee Fitzgerald's [CEO of 386 Vanduzer Wine Corp] gave her glowing recommendations I decided to try it. Vee was right, this is an exceptional Pinot Grigio. Made from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes from the Veneto region of Italy and is distributed by Opici Wines. The color is an almost translucent honeydew/ice yellow chiffon blend. On the nose you can smell lots of citrus like, blood orange, kumquat and key lime. The taste has similar citrus notes, like pummelo and lemon but with a mineral stone feel, taste and finish.
Well Ramona, it looks like you figured out how to find your favorite Pinot Grigio-you made it!

SIP. WATCH. TWEET™ Real Housewives of NYC "March Madness"

Carpineto '09 Rosato

I have a feeling we are getting very close to "Thug in a Cocktail Dress" time! Such a wonderful cause the ladies are marching for, "Marriage Equality". The right that everyone, gay or straight has the right to marry their soul mate, beshert, lover and best friend...But...Getting ready for the march things seem to revolve more around Sonja being the Grand Marshall than the actual cause. Or at least that's what Alex thinks. So my money is on us hearing this [already] social media cult classic line of Alex's "She's a thug in a cocktail dress."

We have chosen the lovely spring Rose, Carpineto Rosato for this episode of RHONY. It has a beautiful bouquet blend of tea roses and iris on the nose with a fruity backdrop of cherries on the nose. The taste is crisp and refreshing with strawberry, raspberry and red apple notes. It finishes clean with just a bit of granny-smith-apple-like tartness.

Real Housewives of New York City Season Premiere SIP.WATCH.TWEET.™

Real Housewives of NYC SIP.WATCH.TWEET.™  and we are sipping Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin

New Wife in the City
Thug in a Cocktail Dress

"She is a thug in a cocktail dress." "...You came in here with your Herman Munster shoes..." "She insulted  a whole country in 5 seconds." "Go back to the cabinet you climbed out of." "You are a snake to her." "She found her voice and now she needs to zip it." -Just a few of the venomous statements the Real Housewives have uttered to each other this season!

They are back! Back with a vengence! With quotes like these, how can anyone NOT watch each and every episode! They are back and from what I've seen thus far, it is going to be worth the wait! LuAnn dating, Alex modeling, Ramona wine making, Jill yenta-ing, Kelly, loopy as ever and brand new addition- Cindy Barshop. Buckle your seat belts guys and dolls, the ladies even go to Morocco together this season! Let the foreign shenanigans begin!

Our pick for this episode of RHONY's  SIP.WATCH.TWEET.™ is Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin. Veuve is amazing on it's own and other than an occasional kir royale I never add anything to it. However, I think this episode needs not just the crisp, fruit and floral notes of Veuve but just a drop of my newest find, Cotton Candy Liqueur [a french vodka based liqueur]. Literally, just a drop is needed to a chilled flute or champagne glass filled with Veuve. Just sweet enough where quite possibly, should the ladies of RHONYC sip it together, they may just all get along...

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

What to Drink While Watching
The "Real" Housewives of Beverly Hills-“Real” in quotes because Camille doesn’t live in Beverly Hills and Kim Richards, not only does she not live in Beverly Hills but isn’t even married . *what?*
Finally! The end is Nigh!- Let's toast with KRUG BRUT ROSE

Admittedly I half-heartedly watch the show as I am only a ‘real’ fan of New Jersey and especially, New York City Housewives. Happily I say we are at the ending of the Beverly Hills Housewives and the beginning of the New York City Housewives [airing in next month!!].

Naming the housewives from my least to my most favorite; Camille Grammer [although the vapid, now ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer is the most entertaining], Kim Richards [she‘s clearly dying to be famous again and needs to get a life], Adrienne Maloof [She treats her husband poorly and wears too much heavy make up, like a tranny!], Taylor Armstrong [those lips, oy vey! Worse than Lisa Rinna, Quintessential LA] Lisa Vander Pump [British and classy, period.], Kyle Richards [cute husband, cute kids and a refreshingly authenic un-LA personality]. These are the newest members of Bravo's hit reality saga, The Real Housewives of…

When you think about the wealth, drama and opulence Beverly Hills, 90210 brings, no ordinary wine would be fit to celebrate the end of this season. Not even any champagne would do. For the finale of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills demands a champagne that’s overly dramatic as the Beverly Hills Housewives themselves . Krug Brut Rosé is a true show stopper-exotic, heavily perfumed and filled with microscopic sized bubbles that tantalize your palate and fill your soul with superb flavors.
Look
Pouring Krug Rosé at the precise temperature of 43F degrees into a slightly chilled vintage champagne glass it glistens golden pale pink like the color of a Cartier pink diamond and yellow diamond. This illustrious color is because the Krug House keep the skins of Pinot Noir on for a brief period of time then expertly blend it with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Inhale
The nose on Krug Rosé is ultra femme– sensually floral. Reminiscent of Oliver Creed’s Acqua Fiorentina fragrance. peony, pink carnation and heather. The amazingly minuscule bubbles tickle your nose with a hint of marjoram and tamarind.
Taste
Just when you think the extravagance could not get any better, your first sip sends your tongue on a heavenly ride through a wild berry patch with a candied ginger and pink peppercorn finish.
Now let us raise a glass of Krug Rosé to the end of the plastic-and wait for the real-The Real Housewives of New York City.
