 It's a RHoNY Reunion Pt. 2 SIP.WATCH.TWEET™ with
La Fenêtre Chardonnay, Los Alamos Vineyard

Last week Andy Cohen lost his cool with the Housewives screaming "Shut the f*** up!". From what I can tell this week will not be that much different. When Ramona is questioned about her drinking by Andy, "Are you an alcoholic?" she goes on about her drinking Ramona Singer Pinot Grigio while filming is the same as her talking about her skin care line "Tru Renewal" and wearing her True Faith jewelry. Ramona claims it is all product placement and attributes it to selling over 60,000 bottles of her Pinot. Andy's retort is reading Jill's blog entry which basically calls Ramona drunkorexic and is not setting a good example for her 16-year-old daughter. Jill writes "she has a problem." and she's masking it by hiding under the veil of market placement.

Alex comes under fire when the quote "Cyber Bullying" unquote Simon came up. Jill repeatedly asks about Alex's knowledge of her husband, Simon's tweeting to the Housewives. Alex calls the Brunettes "Professional Victims" on Twitter and Jill says he threatened her at a party. Andy asks Alex what it meant when Simon told Jill to "watch out" and she seems to be stomped by the question...

Shimmering color hues of translucent blends of charteuse and citrine in your glass. The fragrance itself is an intoxicating bouquet of key lime, guava and tangelo. GIUDICE: Teresa and Joe Giudice's money problems, bankruptcy and court lawsuits are well known and documented. I was proud of Teresa when she said they want the children to know Christmas is not about material things, its's about love and family. Cut to the Giudice home on Christmas morning, the kids hopping on the bed, asking if they can open their gifts without their [sleeping] father. Of course the answer is NO, so they all head downstairs toward the gifts. Gifts including, not limited to: Uggs: $160, a kids pro drum set $199.95, a Mercedes Benz kids car: $560. Hmm...Teresa then says, "The kids are thanking Santa, giving him credit when I was the one running around getting them everything they want." ...I'm not so proud now.

MANZO: Suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome the Manzos go for a stroll [really a drive] down memory lane. Albie and Chris are having Christmas in their new Hoboken digs, Lauren's with her boyfriend and their family whick leaves Caroline and Albert alone. This is their first time with no children on Christmas. Albert uses this as time for riding the same route they did many years ago. Reminiscing on when the children were little they would drive around to see the Christmas lights. Before the children, reminiscing when he was broke and so nervous when he proposed. At that moment, Albert stops the car, gets out, opens her car door and...

It's a RHoNY Reunion Blondes v Brunettes SIP. WATCH. TWEET.™

Real Housewives of New York: Blondes v Brunettes Part 1
SIP. WATCH. TWEET.™ with  E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rosé
I have no choice but to assume it was mere coincidence that every brunette "housewife" had a problem with one or all of the blond "housewives". It was a bizarre split from the very first episode and apparently goes all the way through to the Reunion show. It's like Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z said, "my pain, your pleasure.",  no matter if you admit it or not, the more the drama the more you watch.  Click to Preview LuAnn/Ramona Smash Down

Rumors are out that Bravo will be replacing most if not all of the housewives. If that is in fact, the case, I don't know how I feel about that. Would we get reality television gold like this: Click For Super Size Reunion Preview without Sonja, Alex, Cindy, Kelly, LuAnn and Jill? I don't think so.

E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rosé

A delightful blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvédre and Syrah this Rose is another delicious summer sipping wine. Gorgeous mix brick red, pink carnation and magenta shines through your chilled glass. Bold red fruits on the nose; red plums,  raspberries and pomegranates. The taste is similar to the nose with very ripe strawberries and tart cranberry undertones. The body is surprisingly almost full-bodied, strange for a Rose. The finish is lighter with a whisper of crisp kumquat citrus.

It's A RHoNY Season Finale Faux Pregnancy Pause SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

It's Faux Pregnancy RHoNY Season Finale SIP.WATCH.TWEET™
We're sipping Ferrari Carano '09 Fume Blanc

I'm very disappointed in Bravo for the "cliff hanger" previews of tonight's Season Finale. We deserve better than Ramona's "pregnancy scare". Ramona is 50+ years old and we have seen Ramona out and about since the filming of this show and she is visibly NOT pregnant. She goes to Sonja's and when she refuses to have Pinot Grigio to which Sonja says "this is serious..." Yes, for Ramona to turn down Pinot, something is very wrong. I don't know if this happened on the show organically or if it was production at Bravo who pushed for this. If it happened organically, Ramona's old enough to know, at her age [and even as young as 35] big boobs and sensitive nipples can be signs of perimenopause and/or menopause. Menopause and perimenopause would also cause you to skip months of your period or your period to be "late". Quite honestly I'm not buying that she thought she was pregnant in the first place.

The other ridiculous thing is Natalie Cole loving LuAnn's "Money Can't Buy You Class" and will sing at LuAnn and Jaques' anniversary party. Her singing is conditional-LuAnn simply MUST sing with her. Oy Vey! Apparently it was a very slow year for Ms. Cole... Click to Preview Natalie Cole and LuAnn

Now it's the SIP...
Ferrari Carano '09 Fume Blanc

This Fume Blanc has a spring/summer-like color blend of lemon yellow and goldenrod hues in your glass. The nose is fruity with notes of key lime, kiwi, honeydew melon and mandarin peel all with a back drop canvas of freshly cut grass. The flavors are intensely delightful bringing citrus notes of pummelo, tangelo and clementine to your palate.  Layers of citrus are complemented by subtle flavors of lychee and mango. Because Ferrai Carano presses the Sauvignon Blanc grapes into stainless steel tanks it gives this Fume Blanc a clean, brightly crisp mouthfeel. You can tell it has some aging in oak because of the depth of the layers it gives you upon your second and third sip. Refreshingly light-medium bodied the finish is short yet extremely smooth and leaves you with the lingering taste Sicilian lemon.

Christmas Chaos. Hassled for the Holidays. RHoNJ SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

It's Christmas Chaos at the Gorga House Preview the PreBrawl
Real Housewives of New Jersey- SIP.WATCH.TWEET™
Conundrum White Wine Blend

Ah, the holidays. In a "normal" home it brings out both the best and the worst in us. Add a bankruptcy, publicized money troubles, a foreclosure and a lawsuit from your ex-partner and watch out! Joe and Melissa Gorga host the family Christmas dinner and KimG's +1 is none other than Monica Ciccione. <Monica's husband is suing ex-partner, Joe Giudice for forging his signature on a document.> Melisa has no interest in having a possible "mosh pit" on her hands and will be "devastated if anything happens". KimG on the other hand--she's always looking for drama. Joe seems to owe everyone because at the party a man asks for "the money you owe me. The $1,000." At some point [we will see Sunday] Joe declares "...last time I was nice, this time I'm not going to be so nice." *Dun Dun Duuuuuuhhh!*

Now on to the SIP of SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

This wine is called "Conundrum" because they won't tell you their secret blend of grapes. They will only tell you that its a blend including one or more of these grapes: Muscat, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.

Conundrum sparkles sheer hues of apricot flesh and canary yellow in your glass. The aroma is almost all floral, including star gazer lillies, freesia and honeysuckle. This particular white wine blend has a straight forward complexity with a top note taste of sage honey, clover honey and Indonesian cinnamon. The middle note layers on with fruit flavors like Asian pear, white peach and casaba melon. Sage honey comes back to your palate on the bottom note of Conundrum with a medium bodied finish of lemon thyme, pink lady apple and cilantro.

Hide your ears, Hide your eyes. LuAnn is at it again. RHoNY SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

Tonight's RHoNY SIP.WATCH.TWEET™
We're sipping: Château Giscours Le Rosé de Giscours
Preview Ramona and LuAnn squaring off on Parenting Skills: Click Here

I am definitely not looking forward to watching LuAnn's video tonight. Apparently, Ramona's feelings were similar in regards to being in her video. Ramona wonders aloud what the "real" reason is for LuAnn wanting to have all the "Housewives" in her video. She suspects it has more to do with publicity than being a supportive part of the experience. Ramona implies LuAnn spends more time in the city than with her daughter in Southampton. LuAnn implies that despite, not because of Ramona, somehow Avery [Ramona's daughter] is a wonderful young lady...

It continues to be like the "Blondes v Brunettes", I don't know if it's organic or made to look that way by Bravo. In any case, we all love watching the very expensive fish swim in their Bvlgari fish bowl every single week. I just wish we didn't have to endure LuAnn's second attempt at being a pop princess. Oh, well. Hide your ears, Hide your eyes...

Now on to the SIP part of SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

Château Giscours Le Rosé de Giscours

Giscours Le Rosé is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot and is a fabulous summer sipping wine. It glows sheer almost translucent hues of salmon and pale goldenrod in your glass. The nose is extremely aromatic with floral notes of freesia and hydrangea with a hint of Mandarin peel. The mouth feel is light and crisp with notes of citrus fruits like kumquats, blood orange and meyer lemon. The finish is short yet powerful and slightly acidic with granny smith apple on the back end.

We're Sipping Etude Rose of Pinot Noir Carneros

Once again, a "musical debut" of LuAnn's...Listening to it I have to ask myself the same thing I asked when she dropped her first single. IS SHE SERIOUS?! I mean, seriously. "Money can't buy you class" but it obviously can buy you two singles that are at best, entertainingly funny. Click Here to Watch Her "Video" You be the judge and let me know if she's in on the joke or is the joke on her? Before shooting her video she brought Jill with her to listen to her latest "song". Jill being...well, Jill of course had to put her nose where it doesn't belong. Jill tells Chris [LuAnn's producer/manager] how she would remix it...

Meanwhile back on the Upper East Side Ramona and Sonja are shopping for Sonja's naughty burlesque themed party. Sonja is absolutely the epitome of 40s being the new 20s because she is as sexy and hot as ever. And Ramona? She's no slouch herself! I refuse to believe she's as old as it's been reported! Etude Rosé of Pinot Noir
Perfect for summer sipping this Rose shines from within your glass of a spring like coral and salmon pink color hues. The nose is that of strawberries, mulberries and rainier cherries. The summer like fragrance of this Rosé  of Pinot Noir prepares your taste buds for the fruity ride. Bing cherry, rhubarb and Sicilian blood orange. The mouth feel has an oxymoron blend of cranberry-citrus acidity and silky mineral notes. The finish is crisp and powerful with a hint of lingonberry.

Tonight we get to to see Ramona and LuAnn give the shiska version of a Bat Mitzvah blow out for their girls 16th birthday. MALIBU FAMILY WINES SEMLER ROSE

This mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre with Grenache and Syrah has just enough Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier to design a beautiful color. The Semler Rose has summer like hues of violet red medium and watermelon flesh pink. The aroma is that of summer ripened strawberry, raspberry and black cherry. The nose is sweet yet the taste is not quite as sweet. Because the blend has touches of Grenache and Syrah a happy balance of watermelon, honeycrisp apple, white nectarine and tart plum skin floods your taste buds. Brown Estate Mickey's Block '09 Zinfandel

The color of this bold and brazen zinfandel is just as lush as it's mouth feel. It's a blend of deep amethyst and dark venetian red glistening in your glass. The aroma before decanting is extremely floral and fragrant with freesia, tuberose, tea rose, peonies and violets. Then mysteriously and seductively after decanting, it's a fruit orchard of blackberry, raspberry, loganberry and plum. The taste is unforgettable, as if fruit bomb exploded in your mouth with big flavor layers. Black cherry, silky cassis and ripe pomegranate seeds. Mickey's Block peels away layer after layer of both spice and dark fruit. Pleasing your palate with the full bodied feel carrying hints of clove, star anise, bittersweet chocolate and allspice berries. The spicy fruit full bodied feel gives way to a sultry, sensual, long, lingering finish.

It's a Gobble Fellas RHONJ Thanksgiving SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

Tonight we are sipping Conte di Santa Chiara '08 Amarone
Real Housewives of New Jersey "Gobble Fellas" SIP.WATCH.TWEET™

Much like a live lobster, I could never, EVER pick out a live turkey to be slaughtered and end up on my Thanksgiving table the next day. I know it's hypocritical, but I don't eat legs, wings, anything that reminds be they were walking/flying around and had parents. Teresa has the same problem: Click for a preview of Meet Before You Eat with Teresa & Joe.

Tonight we look in on the Gorgas, Manzos and Giudices at Thanksgiving dinner. Click To Preview Thanksgiving with the Gorgas. Real Housewives Of New Jersey started with the brouhaha we watched at the Gorga christening and has had action every since! Last week we saw Teresa penning an apology letter extending the olive branch to her estranged brother. Will we see a Gorga Reunion or will it be the polar opposite?

Conte di Santa Chiara Amarone

Almost unheard of, this Amarone is less than $30 and is really good. Admittedly, it is not as rich as others but this Amarone can hold its own. The color is extremely dark with violet and orchid hues. On the nose the violet carries over from color to fragrance. Violets mixed with pomegranate and elderberry pleases your sense of smell. The aroma of this Amarone prepares your mouth for the fruit backdrop of raisins, dried black currents, plum and loganberry. Slightly tannic, earthy mouth feel with a lush finish that has a lingering hints nutmeg and anise. Chiara Amarone is great sipping alone but it would also be amazing with the Gorga's Thanksgiving dinner.

Ladies in Morocco. Take TWO... SIP. WATCH. TWEET.™

For the SECOND Installment of the Ladies in Morocco We're Sipping Roederer Estate Brut
SIP. WATCH. TWEET.™

First things first, I am giving Sonja a shout out because contrary to how it appeared turns out [according to Sonja's last blog entry] LuAnn and Sonja were CO-hosts of the Housewives Moroccan trip of a lifetime. Speaking of LuAnn, "I don't know why Alex dressed like a lion tamer, we're riding camels." Completely catty.

Last week we had "Hanger Gate" what scandal will we have this week?

  Roederer Estate Brut
Made by the same champagne house of Louis Roederer and former winemaker, Arnaud Weyrich of said champagne house. This is the first California sparkling wine for Roederer and they bring the same quality they've been known for, for decades of high end champagne making.

This Roederer Estate Brut mirrors the color of the sands of the Sahara Desert which the Housewives are riding across camel back in tonight's episode. Providing us those tiny bubbles we adore in champagne this sparkling wine wets our taste buds first with its aroma. Sweet chestnut and pistachio on the nose is a little misleading when you begin your first sip. Roederer Brut has complex flavors of allspice, lemongrass and Asian pear with singular notes of lychee and a crisp fruity finish of lemon and star apple.

Roederer Estate Brut has the perfect blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and is the perfect warm weather wine. So let's SIP Roederer Brut. WATCH Bravo's Real Housewives of New York City and TWEET about it tonight!

"Making amends...or not."

Jill brings gifts for Alex's "chums" [as her and Simon call their children, Johan and Francois] and begs for Alex's forgiveness. Before they even sit down for lunch to have a "sit-down" Jill promptly opens mouth and inserts foot attempting to compliment Alex. While lunching, Jill states she wants to bury the hatchet but Alex is more than sceptical. She questions Jill's motives and sincerity...realistic, pessimistic or paranoid? My money is on the former not the latter. Time will tell....

Francesco Zonin
Our pick for this week's RHONY SIPWATCHTWEET™ is ZONIN PROSECCO

Zonin Prosecco is effervescent with hues of wheat and lemon chiffon. Slightly sparkling with a wonderful floral bouquet of carnations and iris on the nose. The taste is light and refreshing with crisp notes of mandarin and Sicilian lemon. A body that is a little deeper than light bodied and a has a pleasant finish of roasted almond.

Zonin Prosecco is a lot less expensive than champagne but no less celebratory or enjoyable. To order Zonin click this link: Zonin Prosecco.

Side Note: I am loving this "new" Alex, she's bold, brazen and that comment about Ramona's Pinot Grigio was wry and snarky. Loved it!

Poor Cindy, she is trying to entertain 30+ guests and be an amazing host to everyone at her party and Ramona really, REALLY wants her Pinot. NOW! Well before the party, LuAnn and Sonja fired at Cindy, "Where's my invitation?" "I didn't get an invitation." "Our assistants would have passed on an invitation." "Is this an adult party? This picture doesn't do this Rose justice. The color is absolutely amazing, a vibrant, translucent mix of Venetian red, Indian red and raspberry. SIP. WATCH. TWEET™ RHONY this week with Ramona Singer's Pinot Grigio

It's Turtle Time!
Wine Tasting With The Wives...

Click Here to preview RHONY "Wine Connection"

This week's episode is full of classic lines. The ladies attend a wine tasting/speed dating and Kelly is obviously not a wine connoisseur. Here's part of a conversation Kelly had with a gentleman at the event: Kelly: "Why do they move it around like that?" [meaning the swirling of the wine] Gentleman: "To release the smell." Kelly: I have to SMELL my wine?" *sniffs glass of wine* Kelly: "It smells like wine."...um ok.

Meanwhile new "Housewife" Cindy Barshop has my favorite line of this preview, "I've been out of the dating scene 8 months and this is what's left?!" Love IT...Because it's sadly true!

We are sipping: Ramona Singer '10 Pinot Grigio delle Venezie

I was very skeptical of a wine from a "reality star", even one who is a successful businesswoman as Ramona is. After oenophile, Vee Fitzgerald's [CEO of 386 Vanduzer Wine Corp] gave her glowing recommendations I decided to try it. Vee was right, this is an exceptional Pinot Grigio. Made from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes from the Veneto region of Italy and is distributed by Opici Wines. The color is an almost translucent honeydew/ice yellow chiffon blend. On the nose you can smell lots of citrus like, blood orange, kumquat and key lime. The taste has similar citrus notes, like pummelo and lemon but with a mineral stone feel, taste and finish.
Well Ramona, it looks like you figured out how to find your favorite Pinot Grigio-you made it!

SIP. WATCH. TWEET™ Real Housewives of NYC "March Madness"

Carpineto '09 Rosato

I have a feeling we are getting very close to "Thug in a Cocktail Dress" time! Such a wonderful cause the ladies are marching for, "Marriage Equality". The right that everyone, gay or straight has the right to marry their soul mate, beshert, lover and best friend...But...Getting ready for the march things seem to revolve more around Sonja being the Grand Marshall than the actual cause. Or at least that's what Alex thinks. So my money is on us hearing this [already] social media cult classic line of Alex's "She's a thug in a cocktail dress."

We have chosen the lovely spring Rose, Carpineto Rosato for this episode of RHONY. It has a beautiful bouquet blend of tea roses and iris on the nose with a fruity backdrop of cherries on the nose. The taste is crisp and refreshing with strawberry, raspberry and red apple notes. It finishes clean with just a bit of granny-smith-apple-like tartness.
